Work of love. Jimmy obviously knows his product. Heartfelt honest. I was married for 31 years I was broken after that. I married again it is 100 x harder the second time but we are both committed to never go through divorce again. We both wish we could have read this book the first time. Divorce is NEVER the answer

Pretty good resource for a marriage class

We used this book for our Bible class at church. It was a good discussion-starter. I liked the content of the book pretty well, and we chose it because of the study questions and date night questions in the back. I only give it 3 stars because I thought the book was a little shallow - at times it felt more like his personal journal. It also seemed a little lopsided from a man's perspective. It would have been better if co-written with his wife.

Very good book. It teaches us the role women play in marriage and the role men play in marriage. Kindness and respect. It teaches us to truly understand each others love language. No one is perfect but if we focus on God and not ourselves and focus on our spouse needs and now our own, we can have a lifelong love affair. Very good read. I would definitely recommend this to married couples and engaged couples.
